Dolomites, the Italian Alps
If you’re reading this, maybe you’re planning a trip to the Dolomites. If you’re planning a trip to the Dolomites, then you’ve made a good decision. As I’m writing this, I’m on my second trip to northern Italy. I don’t think I would ever wake up to the views here and not be in awe. First coming in the fall, now returning in the summer, I’ve explored some incredible places here that I can’t wait to share with you!
Where to stay?
How would it sound to spend your day hiking the mountains, then come back for a sauna infusion and aperol spritz overlooking the valley? This is the experience you can indulge in at Santre Dolymythic home. With one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had, Santre is a family run business sitting high up in the mountains here in the Dolomites. If you end up staying here, make sure to join Alex (the hotel mountain guide) for some unforgettable adventures.
Where to explore?
Lago di brais
This is probably one of the most touristic spots you’ll find in the dolomites, but you’ll understand why when you see the view. A lake filled with wooden boats, reflecting the mountain across its turquoise water. As the beauty of this spot is no secret, you want to get here early morning to avoid crowds. If you can’t make sunrise, then escape the crowds later on my taking one of the trails up to the left of the lake entrance.
